It's the little things
WoW...Here we are at Friday already, and it's been a fairly uneventful week (which, I suppose could be a fave in itself, since "no news is good news", as they say....).
I'd have to say that my fairly-new crock pot would have to top my list this week....
I've been finding ALL kinds of yummy sounding recipes (on Pinterest, of course!) that all seemed to be made in a slow cooker -- which, I didn't have. So we bought one. I gotta say, I'm not sure how I survived all these many years withOUT one! It does all the cooking without me, the food tastes fabulous! (I was kinda skeptical at first), and the ease of clean-up has made this one of my favorite kitchen gadgets in very short time! Last night's pot roast was very tasty, if I do say so myself, and I'm planning on the chili this Sunday (Go G-Men!!) being just as good...
Oh! And speaking of food....we had THE best pizza last Sunday -- there's a little joint here in Neptune Beach called Mario's, so if you are in the neighborhood, by all means, do stop in and grab yourself a Margarita Pizza ....it's not on the menu, but they'll make it for you....big, fat chunks of fresh mozzarella, big, juicy slices of fresh tomatoes, fresh basil, hand tossed, fabulous crust....Oh.My.GOODness!!
....In other news, the Mister is doin' some movin'-and'shakin' at work, and is in the midst of negotiations on a promotion -- He's been working very hard on LEAN production, is in line to complete his black-belt training course, and as a result, will head up the entire corporation on green, lean production in the workplace. I'm extremely proud of him, and I'm sure he'll be excellent in his new position...
And, of course, yesterday started Imbolc, which translates roughly to "in the belly", and the celebration of the quickening of Spring....and spring is always a favorite of mine!
We've been very vigilant on our nightly walks, and by doing so, have had the opportunity to see some amazing sunsets....
And, that wraps up my Friday Fave Five for this week....How about YOU?! ....Here's hoping that Every Day is filled with YOUR FAVORITE THINGS!!
a place to come on Friday's and think back over your week and just post about 5 favorite things from your week. It can be anything that tickled your fancy over the week. Favorite quotes, posts, happenings, scriptures, recipes, pictures, etc., etc

Fabulous sunsets! I could look at them all day!
I know you love the crockpot - so do I ... I own 5 of them and use them all the time.
The crockpot gets adequate use at my little cottage too. I'll have to find some recipes on pinterest.
Beautiful sunsets--I'm looking forward to spring so our (almost) daily walks will be before nightfall.
Hurray for your hubby on his lean green production!
Thank you both for droppin' in!
@Jerralea - I'm a sucker for a pretty sunset! (I got a lot of use outta that crock pot since we've gotten it -- the Superbowl chili was DE-licious!!)
@Willow - that Pinterest is addicting, I tell ya! LoL...I'm in quite the hurry for spring myself, I agree, always better to walk when you can see where you're going! heehee...
Hope you both have a wonderful week ahead of you!
I like searching for new recipes too. Although I have a Pinterest account I haven't been there to check on recipes.
Crockpots are very helpful. I have a cabbage soup going right now.
I love pizza and the Margarita pizza sounds devine.I bet I could make one for myself. YUMMM.
Congrats to your husband. His hard work is coming to fruition.
Your photos are lovely. Almost makes me want to get off the couch and take a nightly walk. :)
Thanks for your comforting words about Chip.
