Stormy Seas

It's Tuesday, and time again for RaiderGirl's

"Where is reading taking you this day?"

This week's reading has me along on another adventure with special agent Aloysius Pendergast, this time aboard the maiden voyage of a luxury ocean liner as we sail across the Atlantic in search of an ancient Tibetan box sealed with a terrifying message, it's contents unknown, and try to find the thief who stole it from the monastery.

"The dark hole at the center of the mandala seemed to be alive, pulsing, crawling in the most repellent way, opening itself like some foul orifice. He felt as if a corresponding hole had been opened in the center of his own forehead, that the countless billions of memories and experiences and opinions and judgments that made up his complete persona were being twisted, being altered; that his very soul was being drawn out of his body and sucked into the mandala, in which he became the mandala and the mandala became him. "
~ The Wheel of Darkness by Douglas Preston & Lincoln Child (pg. 306)
