The Book of the Dead by Douglas Preston & Lincoln Child
~ I'm still trying to catch up with all my "old friends", and so next I think I'll read Map of Bones by James Rollins, which we recently picked up at the local UBS; An older SIGMA Force tale that I had missed..
~ I'm reading another Pendergast tale (I luv that guy!), this one set on the maiden voyage of The Brittania, the world's largest luxury ocean liner, where we're hunting down a murderer who has stolen a centuries old Tibetan box which is engraved with a terrifying warning...this is the eighth book, I believe, featuring special agent Aloysius Pendergast (just the name alone!), and they just keep getting better and better!
- What did you recently finish reading?
The Book of the Dead by Douglas Preston & Lincoln Child~ This was the third (and final?) book in the Diogenes Pendergast...trilogy, I suppose. Aloysius is in prison, and Diogenes is set up to commit the perfect crime..very interesting twist in the end, for those of you who have followed the tale...

Ahh my Waiting on Wednesday pick is James Rollins' upcoming release which is the next in the Sigma series. I love his books! My WWW is at The Crowded Leaf.

Oh, I do luv the Pendergast tales, bookventures...and the SIGMA books by Rollins are definitely fun reads, jacabur1, I highly recommend both series, every chance I get! (Alayne, would that be "The Doomsday Key", or is there another one after that? Do you know if "The Alter of Eden" is also with these characters?...)
